Meet Marie

Marie Conta owns SoundWave with her husband, DJ Matt Conta, and heads our photo and video division. Her love of photography began when her two daughters were born and she wanted to capture every moment of their lives.

Her favorite part of a wedding is capturing each moment as it unfolds, from the dress going on to the first look and the kiss.

Questions couples ask before they book

Will we meet our photographer before the wedding?
Yes. Every wedding photo package includes a free engagement session, and we are happy to meet in person or by Zoom to talk through your day.
Do we get the rights to our photos?
Yes. Every package includes unlimited digital downloads and a copyright release.
How far ahead should we book?
Most couples book us 12 to 18 months ahead, and some book up to two years out. Getting married sooner? Check your date with us.
What if our photographer gets sick?
We always have one or more backup photographers available in case of an emergency.
Do you photograph backyard and non-traditional weddings?
Yes. You do not need a traditional ceremony or reception to book us. If your celebration is new to us, we ask questions first so we do not miss anything that matters.
Can we book photography without a DJ or video?
Yes. Choose a wedding photography package on its own, or combine it with video, a DJ and a photo booth from the same team. Everything goes into one quote.
What is the difference between the three photo packages?
Essentials Photo is photography only: all-day coverage, a free engagement session, your online gallery, unlimited downloads with a copyright release, and 100 save-the-date and 100 thank-you cards. Classic Photo + Video adds a highlight reel of your wedding and two full-length video segments. Signature Photo + Video adds a bespoke wedding album and social media content creation.
